Hyvää syntymäpäivää, Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou!
Kyllä vaan, herra Georges Mikkelsson täyttää tänään kunnioitettavat 44 vuotta. Ja tulee ihan sen kunniaksi sunnuntaina konsertoimaan Suomeen! :D Fiilistelyt on aloitettu hyvissä ajoin, levyt pyörii soittimessa ja videot YouTubessa. Liisan kanssa mennään diggailemaan, iiiihhh en malta odottaa!
Yhteinen matkani Georgen kanssa alkoi varsinaisesti kymmenisen vuotta sitten, kun vasta ilmestynyt, edelleen loistava Older kolahti tervetulleena tuulahduksena keskelle teini-iän pahinta brittipop-kauttani. Herra oli toki tuttu jo aiemmista tuotoksistaan (Annimannin kanssa muistaakseni harrastettiin Last Christmasin inhoamista), mutta vasta siellä yläasteen ja lukion välimaastossa solmin tuon levyn kautta Tsoortsin kanssa läheisen henkilökohtaisen suhteen. Ja se suhde kokee täyttymyksensä ensi sunnuntaina - näkyy Areenal! :)
Maistiaisiksi kuitenkin tuotantoa vuodelta 1999: George Michael feat. Mary J. Blige - As. Hieno biisi ja hieno video!
